Parenting When It Seems Difficult To Handle

Parenting is definitely one of the most exciting experiences any woman can receive. Just the thought of another human being that was created by God in your body, is now in this world, is a miracle in itself. Although doctors know the stages of the nine months for a baby before it is born, they cannot explain to no one how it really is done. During this time however, the body goes through many changes like weight gain, different food urges, swollen feet and a variety of other things. In spite of all of this, after the baby is born these changes are forgotten. The new phase of parenting now begins, and getting some help on how to handle this tough time, is always needed by the new mom.

Here are a few of the things the new mother will need help with.

Baby Feeding

Whether you decide to breastfeed or bottle feed the choice is up to you, but getting through these two methods easily reduces lots of problems at this stressful time. Breastfeeding comes at the right temperature with many health benefits, but when you are new to it you can face some challenges. Always make sure your baby latches on to the nipple properly. When this is not done the soreness that comes is quite painful. Some people still get pain even if the baby latches on well, so in cases like that, go to your medical provider and see if it could be another reason that the pain persists.

Bottle feeding takes a little more work, since you have to make sure bottles are kept sanitized and in a clean environment. Be also careful that the milk temperature is good for the baby by testing on the back of the hand, since burning your sweet baby is not what you want.

Feeding Solid Food

There are new phases as you go from breast or bottle feeding to solid foods. Like us the baby will not like everything we give them, but as time goes by you would get to know what your baby likes, only make sure they get healthy nourishing food. You have to work along with your child’s progress.

Potty Training

Potty training can really become a headache if you allow it to. Always remember that the age each child goes to the potty is different. Try not to be hard on yourself and the child. This causes more problems, and sometimes it takes the baby longer. Just accept it as it comes.

Starting School

This is the last area we will look at. The first day of school is always the hardest. Keep in mind that it is a new environment, and like us adults, anything new mean changes we might not like. This time comes with crying, and not wanting you to leave them with someone else. Very few children accept this well, and because your child is normally friendly, it still might not like school at first. Give them a little time and before you know it your little genius will want to take you to school with them also, because they love it so much.
